@elly81 Congrats to you lovely- so pleased for you! All the best for a great pregnancy
@babyla Ah hun, sorry to hear about the BFN. Hopefully AF stays away and the next test you take is the BFP that is bound to come

AFM waiting still. Gotta try and keep positive. Even if AF does come then my LP isn't as hopeless as I thought. Also got to try and think about the positives and stop living for the obscure maybes. But it is bloody hard, lol.

@elly81 Congrats on you BFP, what great news! crazy that you originally got a BFN and then a few hours later you got a BFP. Our bodies, what weird and wonderful games they play with us.

Sorry to hear @HoneySoyChicken & babyla that you got a bfn. But hey you never know things could change.

So has anyone informed family & friends that there TTC or is it going to be a surprise for everyone? We told my family as we're a really close family. I've enjoyed asking my mum things and sharing stories asking for information etc.

Bit of a setback for us. I had some tests done regarding my thyroid. One of them being a scan in which they use a small amount of radioactive dye. So I've been informed by the specialist we'll have to put back TTC for a couple of months. Not to worry onwards & upwards...

@kaleissk even though is is good you are getting tests done I'm sorry that it will set you both back three months. It might be a good time to enjoy sushi, alcohol, soft cheese and soft serve.

Some of our friends know we are TTC, mostly told them because the ask every time we see them. At least this way they will be a bit more sensitive. The MIL and FIL know also, I was talking to my MIL and it came about an I didn't have the energy to try and hide it. My mum doesn't know yet, but I think I am honestly just one AF away from packing in the secrecy so I can ask for a mum hug to make it all better.

@curlbird oooh, I hope it went well and wasn't painful!!

We haven't told anyone except for a couple we are friends with who aren't connected to any of our other friends or family. Other than that its just you lovely ladies on the Internet.

Both our parents have been probing us as to whether we plan to have kids soon. Its hard not to slip up and tell them.

Acupuncture went well. The lady who did it said ideally to get the best results is to do it weekly but I don't think I can afford that, as my health insurance doesn't cover it. I might do it monthly to start off with and go from there. It was an interesting experience and wasn't painful at all... definitely tricky staying still for 30mins. Lol

Beginnings of AF at 9:00. Does that make this CD1?

Thanks ladies. Unfortunately I don't drink (well, I have in the past but not something I really enjoy doing. I'd rather pay that much for a milkshake). However, I wouldn't mind getting completely trashed right about now.
@curlybird - glad to hear it didn't hurt, that would be my biggest thing! All the best with it
@babyla - sorry to hear about the BFN. I'm holding out hope that the silly stick didn't know what it was on about.

So, the fact that I got my periods today means that my LP was somewhere near 12 days. I'm pleased enough with that. Hopefully last cycle was just a freak one off.

I also talked to DH this morning. He is now officially in charge of charting my cycles for me. It is to stressful. In the mornings i will hand him the thermometer and he can upload all the details onto FF. Part of me wants to forget about all the extra **** (and almost forget that we are trying for a baby), but I don't want to risk that getting in the way or delaying help down the track.

Gah. Baby making is no fun. Sex, yes, but baby making no.

And a quick Q- I definitely do have AF, but it has been quite light. More than spotting, but not enough to make a pad proud a job well done. Surely it is still CD1 right?
