Hi everyone, we are about to go to Cape Town for a FET and have started researching travel insurance. Turns out our ANZ Platinum Card with free travel insurance does not cover 'medical procedures' overseas. I called 4 other travel insurance companies including BUPA who said their insurance would be void if we had a 'medical procedure' whilst on holiday. They don't seem to differentiate between a quick embryo transfer and major surgery if you are overseas. I asked the person on the phone if going overseas to get a tooth extracted would void my insurance and she said yes.
I would like to know if anyone in our situation just went ahead and didn't tell the insurance company about their treatment overseas. Or us there a specialist company that deals with people travelling overseas for treatment?
