I got an head old when pregnant and the congested pain was awful every time I laid down. I had some wasabi on my dinner and hey presto....instantly unblocked, felt like my eyeballs were burning too, but I could breathe again...until the morning. Ha

If it's viral, antibiotics are going to be as useful as tits on a bull. FWIW - antibiotics get prescribed to pregnant women for all sorts of reason such as UTI's, preterm labour, prolonged rupture of membranes for the safety of the baby. Antibiotics aren't going to harm your baby.

Made an appointment with the gp today cause im seriously starting to stress about whether the baby is getting enough oxygen. But I could only get in with a gp I hate - he has no idea, particularly about pregnancy. So most likely will just be a waste of $40

Nasal irrigation kits goes in one nostril, flushes out the other one if I am correct.

Your baby is getting plenty of oxygen. When you're feeling a bit better, lie down this afternoon and spend half an hour feeling bubs movements to reassure yourself.

Well went to the gp & bubby is ok which is the main thing. He said it might be a sinus infection but because he thinks its viral theres nothing I can do other than what ive already tried.

Really hope this gets better soon so I can sleep, eat & breathe properly again!

You basically squirt a cup of water up one nostril and it comes out the other.. Sounds pleasant doesn't it? It doesn't hurt though...

I hated the idea of it but it truly worked.
It clears it all out, but you do need to do it 2 or 3 times a day.

I swear by my nasal irrigation thingy! Go to the chemist and get one. Mines a plastic squirt bottle you put warm water and a saline mix into.

Blowing your nose a lot can make the sinuses inflamed, and make the blockage worse. Have a break from blowing and let them calm down.

Then do the saline nasal rinse. This is what I use:

    Yep that's what I had.

Just make sure you used cool boiled water coz straight from the tap hurts your nose.
