BTW does everyone have a bassinet? If not what are you planning on having your baby sleep in for the first few months (especially while still in your room)? Can they go straight in the cot?

Starting to feel better now thanks ladies!
I just need to be sure to keep up with my fluids from now on.

Misti.. I've ended up with two, but had I of not had one I would have gone straight to cot.
Sometimes you might need to raise the head of the mattress a little but otherwise basically just short sheet the bed so bub doesn't sink all the way to the bottom.

I havent bought any baby furniture yet but I will be using a co sleeper that attaches to the bed for the first few months then moving onto a cot

I looked at co sleeper I really like the idea of those, what brand are you getting? A friend gave me a Moses basket and I'm wondering if I can use that on a stand with wheels, I also have a cot... I'm wondering if it's too much to buy a bassinet and/or co sleeper when I already have a cot and the basket.
Amandale what is bubs going to sleep in during the day? Still the co sleeper or do you have a cot/bassinet as well?

I'm going to go with a bassinet for the first few months, then a cot. I looked at co-sleepers, but realised that the cat was just going to take a sideless bassinet as an invitation, so a separate one will be better for us! I figured a bassinet is more portable as well, so I can move it around to wherever I am during the day as well.

They suggest having bubs go into their cot during day naps no matter where they sleep at night, so that the nursery becomes apart of the routine and not such a scary place when you decide to transition.

I really liked the co sleeper nest idea but couldnt justify the cost for just a few months of use. We bought a second hand Bassinet and a new mattress instead and will move bubs to the nursery as soon as he is sleeping through.

Megs - still praying for you and hoping you get the all clear ASAP!

Love the bump pics girls, it's wonderful seeing everyone's progress.

We are using a Moses basket I'll try and use the cot during the day. Not planning on having baby in our room for too long but will see what happens. I'm setting up bub's room tomorrow! Can't wait!

Im 26 weeks now, can't believe it!
A guy friend of mine told me as I was eating some nachos that I've 'put on a few' and should maybe slow down with the eating for the first time this pregnancy I felt so self-conscious!

@Hope do you have a stand for your Moses basket? If not what will you put it on during the night (bed or floor)? I am thinking of buying a stand with wheels, the plan is to use the cot most of the time during the day, but no doubt there'll be times when I'm cooking or washing and bubs is restless and it'd be nice to have them close.

As as for your guy friend Of course you've put on a few, you're growing a person! I hope he was joking, but it's still not cool.

@Megsarama26 I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. I can imagine that every day feels like weeks. All you can do is try to distract yourself from the worry because I know nothing will make it easier. Have you got some good TV series you can watch in bed? Mark Umstad is fantastic. You will be in good hands. Thinking of you xxx

I will be using a bassinet and then once i get home in March he will move into a cot, i might have to introduce the cot slowly as he wouldn't have ever slept in one but thats my plan, got the rest of my Rumparoos shipment yesterday, DH doesn't understand the MCNs work out way cheaper the disposables, he was like your not going to get any more of them are you??? Then once i explained that they are a one off price compared to constantly buys disposables i think he got his head around it, i wont be buy any more until he is born and we work out what fits best, i have 8 cloth nappies to keep me going anyways.
Chest pain is still a problem, mainly has to do when i lay down after a drink so i think its def intergestion related but its not acid its way to painful to be just acid. SSSSOOOOO puffy, took my rings off today, they are getting way took tight and that was first thing this morn, my shoes don't fit anymore either! Need to start eating better, i eat good meals but my snacks are BAD!
Becoming more and more concerned about pain relief in labour, i really don't want the epidural and so many people have an opinion on what i should and shouldn't do, i don't want my pride to get in the way, being from a rural area and working in the bush all my life women are looked upon as tough out here and most of my friends haven't had any pain relief so i feel like i will be less of a 'real' woman if i do, i know that not the case but thats how sow people have made me feel! And also getting concerned about BFing, i really want to but hear all these horror stories! I hope everything isn't too overwhelming. Anybody else getting anxious?
