Me too. I was told to take it any time after 16 weeks and was given a referral. So I'm going this Sat.

Heavens! You must be terrified you poor thing! I'm sending you all the positive, cervix closing vibes I've got and hoping like mad that there is something they can do that will stop this in its tracks, give you some peace of mind and most importantly, another 14 weeks at least of baby growing time Best wishes hon xxx

I was told not to eat anything after 10pm the night before - but she only told me in passing, as if I should have known...

I was just given a form to take with me, I just showed up they gave me the drink and an alarm to set as soon as I finished it and then I had to wait an hour for the blood test. I didn't have to fast. As far as I knew you only need to fast if your doing the longer test?

I would give the place a call where you are going for the test. They will know what you need to do and if you need to book in or fast.
My MIL is my pathology person so she told me straight away. Carb load for the 3 days leading up, then fast from 10pm (water allowed), appt at 8am and goes for 2.5hours.

@Megsarama26 I am thinking of you. I hope you can manage to rest and relax a little now you're in constant care but of course it must be a nightmare for you no matter what. Stay in there little ones!!

She def mentioned that I needed to fast from 10pm the night before making sure I only have water from then on, she explained was best to get in at 8am when the pathology opened and I'd be there for about 2 hours. Guess mine exp isnt too diff from everyone elses. Now to decide which day I want to be stuck at the pathology for.
