So... got a little bit of a push today from work with regards to my due date and what my plans are etc. Of course saying it's my choice but they want to know so that they can plan i.e. get someone in or not etc.

Problem is, by law i don't have to say anything right now!! I don't know how long I will be able to stay there up to my due date - and would really love to be able to take 12 months off, BUT if i tell them that and then end up not being able to afford to have that much time off, then they have to put someone else off who they have promised 12 months to???

Just so difficult!!!! and now feel rather pressured to make a decision as to what I want to do!!!!
Firstly I'd explain to your boss your predicament, I've do up a worse case scenario budget and made an executive decision on this info about how long we can happily live on one wage.
If all else falls most companies have a pregnancy policy, so Id find yours and look at the finer details, most companies now have an extension policy in place, so you can advise you'd like 6 months maternity and if you get to 4/5 months in and decide you can stay off longer then you can extend your leave, Ive worked maternity contracts and the employer is always much happier to extended someone's contract.

Ive seen both sides of the maternity leave story and some one who is upfront and states their intent (even if it changes) rather than one waits to the last minute is much more likely to get understanding from their employer.

Glad it's not just me. I hadn't noticed candles, but I'm naturally cankly anyway, so maybe I wouldn't...

I can't believe I'm already 28 weeks and only have 12 weeks to go.
DH finally started prepping the nursery last night, can't wait to get it done.
On a not so exciting note I finally have the official diagnosis of Gestational Diabetes. It was only really a matter of time considering I had insulin resistance from my pcos before I fell pregnant.
So for the next 2 weeks I have to record my levels until I see the endocrinologist.
No more Neenish tarts for me lol

Yep! I'm normal size every morning and then by night time I am huge! Especially if I've eaten a lot during the day.

    Cool bump shots @Sparklemonkey!
You really had a growth spurt at around 26 weeks didn't you!

AFM - I'm cheering. Agreed with my boss today that my work hours should be 9.30 - 4 (which allows me to avoid driving in peak hour) and a day working from home a week!

Definitely a step in the right direction!
