I'd ask the tenants to go halves with replacing it.
That's surprising as the legislation I read up on specifically mentioned burnt as not acceptable wear and tear and damage to come out of bond.
I was thinking that half would be fair but not sure what legislation is

Can't be repaired unfortunately, agent also said can't repair/ replace section that the whole thing needs to be done ( and not in a lets get the tenants to pay for a new benchtop way- but in a it's unfair to them whole thing needs to be repaired way).

Update for those that are interested went to look again at the property, the mark is now almost non existent so she's over dramatised the situation, to be honest I'm not going to bother I don't think. the place is still filthy and I think it looked a lot worse than what it is because they said they cleaned but I don't think they really did, same with the upstairs vanity. It appeared to be a permanent issue but in reality it was just their laziness. We are now fighting with the agent as she states it's clean. It's far from it

for some strange reason she's refusing to get the tenants cleaner back in to rectify the issues. Even though it shouldn't cost them anything as the cleaner obviously didn't do their job right
