Can you go on a cancellation list?

I went on a cancellation list and got in a week later!! Definitely ask to go on that and scream at them about your pnd. They have to put u as a priority.

If she had have spoken to me yesterday I would have been balling my eyes out which would have worked in my favour but I was feeling slightly better today and I can't just turn on the waterworks

It's the same *****y receptionist who wouldn't help me out yesterday so I'm not expecting much sympathy.

Would my psychologist be able to help? Like if she wrote a letter or something?
I don't want it to affect me negatively though... Like after what you told us @LiterallyNoOne about them taking kids etc. Don't want them to over react...

Oh sweetie I really feel for you xx

I had pnd with DS1 and got in within a week after my gp wrote them a letter. I'd been told 3 months before that. I'm assuming the Perth equivalent has spots for more urgent cases; perhaps the same applies where you are. I think your psychologist writing or calling would definitely help. Also, it may take a health professional calling to get past the dragon receptionist!

I'd definitely ask your psychologist for help with getting in early mine offered to help me too. I think you'd be safer with a letter from your psych then saying it by yourself with no support. CPU are great in some instances but they are only human and like with me they often get it plain wrong. I have my fingers crossed tight for you I know how much sleep schools can and will help. And just remember the receptionist is just a receptionist she has nothing to do with you after your there.

DS is having a bad arvo took 45 mins to get him down and he is still tossing and turning. Thinking he may have given himself a tummy ache he ate half a weetbix and half a bottle!

The receptionist should know better though the mothers that call these sleep school are sleep deprived, fragile and desperate for help. Silly women she is!

That sucks. Hopefully the others are right and a further referral letter will help.

SAGirl when does DH get back? You will need him home if you get a cancellation in sleep school. I heard they get a lot of cancellations this time of year because you can't go if you're sick. My friend rang up Monday morning and was told to pack her bags and come in. The sleep school I looked into wouldn't let you have siblings there though. Thankfully I think we can survive without going. I will be back at work soon which oddly enough will give me a break! I work shift work so sleep during the day a lot while my parents mind my girls.

LNO I have been looking after my niece and nephew for the first week of the school holidays and OMG it was nuts. It would take me two hours to leave the house. My other sister has just arrived with her boy so now it's there adults on 5 kids. For most of the day it's 2 adults on 5 kids. Then those two adults both got gastro... My sister has been on IVF for years trying for another bubba but had no luck, I think she feels a lot better about only having 1 child after being here a few days!! I think until you actually have to care for that many kids you have no idea what it's like. I can't imagine how you cope and I have my hat off to you that you survive each day.

My 2 older ones live with their dad a few hours away. When I had my DPs DS my DS1 DD1 and DD2 all living together it was crazy crazy. With just DD2 and DS2 here it's quiet our noisiest part of the day is actually bedtime so much crying!! My brother and SIL have 6!! 9, 8, 7, 3, 2 and 1!!! I'd die. My sister has almost 3 yr old twins that didn't sleep and still don't sleep all night I stayed at her house for a week when it was just DD2 and me I felt for her so badly!!
