SA girl - I wanted to say I sympathise with having a surfing hubby! My DH does occasional surfing trips, usually Indo. But in two weeks we are off to Samoa, the whole family is staying one week and hubby is staying an extra week to surf and be a boy. I can't wait! DD is 8 and DS is 6 months. It came about from DH talking about another trip and I put my foot down and demanded we all go. Don't get me wrong, I never want to do one of those disgusting boat trips but I need a break too. We are sooo excited. DS doesn't sleep the whole night, still wakes 1-2 times for a feed but DD deserves a nice holiday, she's such a good kid and she's never been overseas.

So perhaps you could suggest a family friendly and surfing destination next time? Yes it's not cheap for everyone to go but we've been planning this for about 12 months. And it doesn't have to be overseas. Last sept we did a driving trip. The excitement for all of us is awesome!

I hate sitting down because I know that DS' 20 min nap will become a 2 min nap.
