The same occurred to me before I posted but usually it's locals who work on the boats unless they're tour operators. And I didn't remember SAGirl saying her DH worked away previously.

So I listened to his message again this morning (last night I was half asleep) and from his message it sounds like the boys all chipped in to buy a local sim and credit that works... They must be missing their wives and gf's coz I've never heard of them doing that before... Normally they just go the whole trip with no contact.

Anyway he said he was going to try ring today sometime.

He's back Thursday so just less than a week to go.

Sounds like you need to start looking after yourself SAGirl because no one else will. Your DH is certainly making sure he has his fun and leisure time, if he's not insisting that you do something for yourself then you just need to do so. There is no prize for putting yourself last.

Ooooh boy! Okay, I'll squirm and walk away. You're a more understanding lady than me SAgirl! I feel for you in this situation and am glad he's made an effort today.

We have a 'corner' in my house for time out. My toddler will sometimes ask to go into the corner. Eg:
Me "can you please eat your breakfast?"
    Ds1: "put me in corner."

How long before sleep school? It must be hard doing it without a DH there. Sort makes any plans more difficult to implement.
