It would be risky to take the 100mg without monitoring. Can you ring your doctors and see what they think?

Default PCOS, and new to Clomid-nervous

I'm in the same situation as @twentysomething recently diagnosed with pcos and now that my cycles are getting longer, I've no idea if I'm ovulating. Wondering if I should see a fs or start on clomid..
Edit: I'm already on metformin. Anyone else find this helpful?

My GP referred me to a FS. FS started me on metformin which did bring my periods to 7 weekly (hadn't had them naturally for 7 months prior). After three months on the metformin (2 cycles) he started me on clomid in conjuction with met. Currently on round two of clomid.
It's not recommended to take clomid without monitoring.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

My periods were always fairly regular. Until we started trying to conceive actually. But they've only been a week or two late if that. Metformin hasn't changed much except they're nowhere near as heavy as they used to be which is great.
Monitoring in what sense? I chart bbt and cm. is that what you mean?

Monitoring in the sense of ultrasounds to see how many follicles you have developed from the clomid.

Oh right! So it's extremely full on. I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet.
