Opening up ebay now and finding some as I think maybe when looking at the pink line with the tests I may be over thinking it! lol I like the simpleness of a smiley face
No bd for the last few days as I am not feeling 100 % (cold) and been tired. Off to Melbourne this weekend to help out my parents so hopefully we get some BD in there somewhere. haha
    Have a great day

How did you go Tassiewife did you find the digital OPKs?

I agree with the pink line vs smiley face. At time my second like looks dark on the o test so I do a digital and its not. So definitely good to check with and use. So many times I thought it was positive and it wasnt

Sorry to hear your not feeling well. I think there are a lot of colds and flus going around. A few at my work have had it and this morning I feel a big congested in the head. Not a good start for the weekend.

I hope you have a great weekend at Melbourne - will be good to see the parents

    HI DaniSam,
I ended up running out of time and didn't but I really do need to. Sussed it out and it def does seem cheaper on ebay so will look again before the next cycle!
Got my BT on Wednesday so am getting very anxious now!! It sucks if do read the OT wrong, which I am concerned maybe I did, so to receive the answer of the BT will be good!
YOu would be due for your next AF soon yes? Or not sure what your cycle is to know when your due? LOL.
Hope you had a nice weekend!

I have my fingers crossed that you great an O result from your BT.
    Kerp me updated
well ATM I am waiting for my period to arrive. I'm not sure if it will come naturally or wether I will have to have meds to kick start again. If not here in another 3 weeks ill have to get meds. And that will put me into August to try again I'd say. Such a long process
my work is so quiet. I'm ready to put in for leave as there is only so much twiddling of thumbs that can be done

    So do I DaniSam!
Hopefully your AF comes on it's own in the next three weeks, however it appears your realistic about the whole process which I think in the scheme of things is a good thing. When we know it can be a long process we need to make sure we make realistic goals, hence why I'm prepared for no ovulation this month being my first round of clomid.
Good thing is that there are plenty of great outcomes so it can be done!!!!

    Hi Everyone

Hope you don’t mind if I join this chat? My partner and I are trying to conceive our first child. I have PCOS (was diagnosed when I was 19, am now 31) and came off the pill in November. We weren’t officially trying, at that point. I had 1 period in Feb then another in June. I saw my GYN as we want to offically start trying and she put me on Clomid (25mg) which I stated CD5 (luckily I had a period at the time of my visit). However yesterday was CD21 and I had my blood test which show I didn’t ovulate. My GYN has told me to have another blood test on Monday then call again next Tuesday for the results. I’m assuming they want to rule out late ovulation before increasing the Clomid dosage. I think she’s reluctant to increase it due to the whole twin possibility thing. But from the sounds of it there was no progesterone in my blood as opposed to not enough. But if I don’t ovulate, then I have no idea how I’m meant to have a period to be able to take the next dosage. I guess they’ll cover that off next week? Does anyone know?

Anyway, I thought it would be great to be a part of a forum with women in the same situation as me

    Hi Daisy,
Welcome to our chat, it appears the three of us are in the same boat with clomid! It most def is good when you find people in the same boat so join along.
I am sorry to hear you didn't ovulate, but at least it is good to know there is a next step with an increase in clomid, although not necessarily a good feeling
I am not sure what the go is with your next AF, I had thought the same thing. DaniSam and I was put on a drug to bring out our AF so there is something that will help bring it on, but not sure if your doc will out you straight on or see if it comes on its own. That is what I am worried about as I can go months and months without a AF.
Blood test tomorrow, so more info re whether I O or not later this week. My fingers are crossed for a yes but prepared for a no!

    Thanks tassiewife

I'm enjoying a glass of wine knowing it's going to be harmless if I haven't ovulated!
I guess I'll wait and see what happens next week after my tests and ask them what happens with my AF. I'm like you, can go months without an AF.

Good Luck with your tests tomorrow!!

Do you use OPKs or do temping? I used OPKs which were all negative (although I was praying something was wrong with them!) and have bought an Basal Temp thermometer to temp next cycle. I'm not sure how reliable either are with Clomid / PCOS but I guess my OPKs were accurate this cycle.

gosh, at this point I'b be stoked just to have a positive OPK!

Do you have any side effects on Clomid? I didn't but was only on 25mg.

Also (sorry last question!) have you changed your diet at all? Since coming off the pill I put on about 8kg and I think possible more since starting Clomid. My GYN suggest I lose 5kg to help but I'm struggling. I'm thinking about starting Mass Attack which is specifically for hormonal issues.

Good job on the glass of wine! I think it is important to continue on like normal (which for me includes alcohol at times) otherwise you will focus too much on the things that your working towards. If that makes sense.
I used Ovulation Tests (which I think is what you were talking about) and I got a couple of positives and negatives. I am not sure if some positives were coz I couldn't read them properly (lol). I plan on using different brand next time which give a simple yes or no (DaniSam and I were discussing these previously if your wanting more info 😄). I have read a lot about clomid giving false positives so not actually too sure if they have worked. Will find out after the BT. I also chart my temp in the morning although have not really found a pattern as such. It is hard as your meant to do it first thing in the morning, but if I happen to slightly wake before my alarm or something I forget and no point doing it later if I haven't been asleep for longer than 2 hrs as it will be inaccurate.

Keep charting though and documenting any CM and see if you can find a pattern as I have seen that it works for others!

In regards to clomid and any side effects I am not too sure. During my 5 days on it I didn't notice anything really. Although around the time I took that, and during my period I had major constipation (sorry TMI) which is something I never had. Actually had to add a lot more fibre to my diet just to help me in that department! Lol.
I am not sure if your meant to get the side effects during the takin of clomid or after you have finished. Lol. Sorry if that is no help to you! 😁
