Default Has anyone gone into labour suffering cold/flu?

I'm 39+6 and have come down with cold and flu symptoms. Mainly lethargy, sore throat, the sniffles. I'm a bit panicked as to how im going to cope with the already arduous task of labour being sick also, has anyone else had this happen to them? I'm hoping I get better real soon.
    Thanks

Yep I was sick when I went into labour. The midwives just gave me panadol. They said after he was born if they couldn't get my fever down with the next dose of panadol I would have to at least stay over night. I personally would have gone home either way.
I don't think being sick really altered anything or made it any worse. The pain of labour deflects any other pain you might be experiencing.

I was recovering from a bad cold when I went into labour and I agree with HarvestMoon the pain deflects from how you feel. For me the most annoying thing was having a runny nose! I had to keep wiping, sniffing and blowing in between contractions which was distracting. But otherwise I was fine. Hopefully your aren't getting a cold and are just feeling a bit off though! Get loads of rest if you can. Good luck!
