Have you had any bloods to see if your hcg is rising?

No I haven't. I'm booked into the doctor for Monday so I'll ask for them first thing. Getting scared now!

There's one of two things that has happened.

One that your dates are out or they stuffed up the scan. That said I have never heard of scan coming up with a due date at only 4 weeks pregnant. A repeat scan and bloods will show your pregnancy progressing normally.

The other thing that is happening is that your pregnancy is not viable and will not continue. You may miscarry naturally or you may need a D&C (as mentioned above) if that doesn't happen. Bloods and another scan will also show if this happening.

Basically there is nothing that confirm either of these options until you see your doctor on Monday.

If you start to have bleeding or pain over the weekend, go into emergency.

I feel like they should have told me something was up. She seemed to think everything was going really well. She said the date was very rough and would probably be entirely different next scan.

Ultimately only I fear it's probably too late. I mean I'm getting upset just thinking about it.

My advice- wait and see Monday. Don't get worked up, it will add to your stress. If you get any cramping or bleeding, just go straight to the ER.

I had major cramping after the scan but presumed that was normal. Completely died down now. Yeah, trying not too!

I don't think sonographers are allowed to say too much, and given your situation she might not have felt it wise to talk about the baby much.

I'm no sonographer, so if one happens to read this maybe they can shed some light, but judging from bubhub alone, I've noticed a fair few ladies have mismatching dates like this and go on to have no problem. I think your blood test on monday will be your biggest help

They shouldn't have given you a date if they weren't able to calculate it properly.

The whole 4 weeks pregnant doesn't make sense because generally you need to be 5-6 weeks pregnant to see a sac and 6-7 weeks to see an embryo.

So if they saw a sac, then they shouldn't be saying that you're only 4 weeks pregnant.
