Default Positive FRER, but negative test at the GP's.

Ok, so I had positive FRER on Saturday and today, but a negative urine test at the GP's this afternoon. She took blood so I'm waiting on my HCG level, but am very anxious. Has anyone been in this situation before and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

Yep, he's turning 8 on Friday lol. I don't think the tests they use at the doctors are as sensitive as first response. Fx for you.

I've heard that the tests drs used aren't as sensitive. Good luck for your blood test, I have everything crossed for you xo

This happened to me. I did three home tests that were all positive, went to the doctor and he said I'm sorry but it's negative...I was in shock but then after a few minutes of speaking he looked back and it was positive.

    Fingers crossed for you x

Yes me too. I had a few clear BFP on Frer and was negative at my GP.
I think the GPs tests are bad internet cheapies
I was indeed pregnant but only 4+3. Pregnancy went on progressing normally

Good luck @siansmum but I'd trust the Frer over the GPs test every time.

So happy to see you around!! It probably sounds creepy but I think of you every now and again and wonder how you are (there is another member with a similar name, it often makes me think of you)

I agree with the girls. Drs wee test arent as accurate as frer. I even find the frer dip tests aren't as sensitive as the frer in****** ones. I got the faintest line on the dip one but when I dipped the in****** one there was a much darker line. It was defs a positive. .. im now 23 weeks along

Good luck hun. Hope you get the results you are after. Xx

Just a quick update - GP just rang and my HCG is 29. I'm going back to see her on Wed afternoon for another blood test to see if it's risen, but I know from my IVF days that anything under 50 isn't considered a viable pregnancy, so not looking good.

Siansmum - my first HCG result was only 32, I was just under 4 weeks! I had 2 more BT after that and by the 3rd my levels were over 1000! I'll be 7 weeks on Thursday. Your level probably just means you've caught it super early!
