    Most people I know have gone from
    being lefties in uni to moderate or clear righties when getting older and or richer.
    Politicians aren't that different.

    I just think we ought to focus on their ideas and actions now rather than their past ideas.

    I don't know anyone like that, I've never known and lefties who have gone to the right, no matter how much money they earn. One of my closest friends however used to be a Liberal voter her whole life, she told me a few months back that she had changed her mind and she is going to vote greens from now on. I am so proud

    I am more moderate than I used to be. I still vote left but life has taught me no party has all the answers.

    And to be frank the labor and liberal parties compete these days (until recently anyway) for the middle ground.
