Default Um are these stretch marks, or?

So my skin has been super itchy and dry lately, so much so that my skin on my tummy got a little 'scaly' for want of a better word. I've been trying bio oil and coconut oil. Anyway this morning things looked Ok but this arv when I changed I noticed that I had tiny, thin red lines on each side of my tummy!

Kinda looks like the lines from the dry scale have turned red maybe... is this just a reaction from my skin being so dry and then it being so hot today or are these stretch marks? They are nothing like the stretch marks I got with DS as they are very very thin and just appeared within hours today.

    Any insight?

They could be scratch lines? I got plenty of them (esp. after scrubbung with my loofah) but they always went away. I wasn't very good at moisturising so my skin was very dry.

Hmmm well I think I have probably scratched a bit but don't think they are scratch marks.... they just seem too thin to be stretch marks but maybe I'm wrong...

I had this happen when I was pregnant, I had been very itchy and scratching a lot. One day I was out shopping, went into a change room, saw all these red marks all over the sides of my belly and freaked out that I had developed like 20 stretch marks over night. I was so freaked out I went home from the shopping centre with nothing!!!! Anyway, in a day or two they were all gone, turned out to be just scratches

Oh my gosh, really!!!??? So they were like really really thin red lines?

You don't know how relieved I am to hear that. I've searched and searched online but couldn't find anything like this. Just wanted to know what I'm dealing with. Hopefully I'm like you and they will just heal or repair in a couple of days!

I get these every so often, not related at all to pregnancy, I just have very dry skin and sometimes when the weather has been cold and dry I get them. They're not scratches, it's just really dry skin, they're almost like little cracks in the skin. I just moisturise and within a day or 2 they are gone.

Stretch marks are thick red welts so bit of a difference to what you're experiencing. Maybe time to invest in a better moisturiser? I'm using the Aveeno dry skin relief moisturiser atm. I get horribly dry legs in cold weather and its been a huge relief to me.
