    I'm not sure if you got a car or not but I thought id reply anyway lol.
    If I hadn't bought a van I would have bought a Volvo xc90 they are a bit ugly but are super safe the middle seat in the middle row turns into a booster seat, all the seat fold, they have curtain airbags and leather seats. I still would like one.
    Next in line would be a pathfinder.

    DF says he used to get 650-700km out of a tank.

    We got a 2010 Mitsubishi Challenger (2012+ models aren't 7 seats). Have had it for a few weeks now, and we're very happy with it.
