Yeahy, I love hearing success stories! If you don't kind me asking, what is your age? I'm 37 and wondering why 300u only got two follies!
    Hope you're felling ok!

    My story so far....
    I'm 42. DH is 44.
No medical/fertility issues with either of us. We found each other later in life due to careers overseas etc.
Initial blood work all normal, scan showed 6 follicles. FS said all good - no reason we shouldn't have one now and another 18mths down the track all going to plan.
Started with elonva, went onto orgalutran then had a scan on day9.
    ONE follicle only?!!
    I was annoyed!!
Then put onto 450ml puregon that night.
Tonight will be my third injection.
I haven't really noticed too much except for a headache and bit bloated. The puregon hasn't changed anything except maybe I feel a bit snakey...lol.
That's all I can tell you at the moment.
    Until tomorrow's scan....
    Oh how frustrating!
How was the scan? Hope you got enough to go ahead with EPU!

Isn't it lovely hearing success stories? It kept me going before DS. I'm 40, not too far off 41. Do you know what your AMH is? I know that mine had dropped significantly between 37 to now. I think that's the reason for the high dose in my case. I'm feeling the bloat today; hope that's a good sign.

Not very much to report here as the Saturday scan didn't show a great deal of progress at all. Actually it was all going backwards...shrinking follicle and thinner endo measurement. The nurse consult in the little office was very sympathetic about it all and then the follow up phone call instructions were to stop all medications and make an appointment to see my Fertilty Specialist as soon as practicable.
The bloating has decreased markedly and I feel as though my period is almost here. The tale telling signs for me are "twitchy" ovary pain and now I feel tender emotionally. But I am wondering if it's not just the culmination of the past few weeks and the drugs plus running around all over town - for nothing.
Sooooo.....have been crazy on the Google search. Will be cutting out my soy chai and adding in acupuncture with some coenzyme q10.
But tonight - to hell with it - we are having pizza!
Wet girl how are you on the puregon journey so far?

I was on 450 and I felt really swollen and bloated so felt pretty uncomfortable but mood wise I was ok. Unfortunately my cycle was cancelled as I had no response even on the really high dose ( I have a very low amh). Good luck! Hope you get lots of follies :-)

@Biscotti71 Firstly, I'm so sorry this cycle was a bust for you. That must be so upsetting; are you holding up ok? There's loads of support here if you need it. I can't read back, as I'm on my phone, but from memory this was your 1st cycle? If so, apparently the 1st cycle is often an experiment for them to work out how you respond to the meds. I hope they can get to the bottom of things & work out a way to proceed. Where are you & who are you with (just out of interest?)

Btw, I nearly peed my pants laughing when you autocorrected me to Wet Girl!!! How funny would that be? It's so lovely to have something to giggle about even when times are tough.

I'm doing ok, have a chesty bug which is a real pain. Xx

You poor thing. That sucks that your cycle was cancelled. I have my 1st scan tomorrow so will see how things are progressing.

    Cancelled on my first cycle!
Shrinking follicle and concerned nurse faces so I wasn't really that surprised.
    Disappointed and annoyed really.😕

Thanks for your kind words ertgirl, you sound like a lovely woman! And you have a good sense of humour as well. Laughter is good medicine they say!!
I previously replied on the HB app on my phone and then it froze!
    Thus a quickie here...
I'm with Assoc Prof. Peter Lutjen and go to Monah IVF at Clayton.
Since he cancelled I have been reading stuff on Dr. Google (not gospel, I know)
and I will have a couple of questions such as what are my AMH levels etc.
    Will make that appt today.

Urrgghhhh. Sorry to hear you have a chesty bug - wishing you a fast recovery from that one! Here's hoping your scan tomorrow shows some big juicy follies laden with top-notch eggies. All the best!
