Why is it that you fantasise about bed time all day long but by the time it comes around, you can't sleep? Why? Why is life so unfair?

Because you finally get down time and time for yourself and you decide that that is more precious then sleep. Until your children awaken at 4am and you think downtime be damned, sleep, ALWAYS SLEEP!

How did the pirate name "Long John Silver" come about? Does the long refer to something completely innocent, like he lived on Long street or had long silver hair, or did he literally have a "long john" and it's actually a much dirtier name than I ever knew until now?

How can you forget how nip-bitingly cold Tasmania can be after living in it for 19+ years!?

    I have definitely missed it.

I hate the look of them but I had just realised why. They remind me of stew (night after night) as a kid.
    Poverty Carrots.
Why haven't I read this thread before when there are little nuggets of gold like this? Poverty Carrots 😂😂😂

HAHAHA @Moxy, I was only thinking of those carrots again as I dusted off the slow cooker the other day. *SHUDDERS*

We have carrots in rounds every day, almost! Who can be bothered doing anything else with them?!

I cut them on an angle so they are angled round carrots. That way they are a little fancier
