    It is true
    Have you tasted the pineapple flavour in a block of Cadbury Snack? Kinda tastes like that. But better

    My brain just now:

    My back hurts from lugging DS around.

    Lugging ---> luggage!

    Mind. Blown.

    Default Random thought...

    This just reminded me of something that blew my mind in an immature way a few years ago. Humping furniture means moving furniture, like what a removalist does. I think it's a kiwi thing. I work in that industry and dissolved into fits of silent, internal giggles when one of the senior managers used the term once.

    ETA - I just googled "humping furniture" and it does NOT come up with what I described. Perhaps my colleagues were pulling my leg... As long as they weren't humping it.

    That's really interesting! I used to know a blind man who thought jet skis had wheels, he couldn't understand how they work without wheels. It would be interesting but utterly terrifying to not be able to see.

    Snow White is really quite a disturbing, macabre story. I watched a version of it today with DD and never realised how twisted it really is! The evil witch is jealous and narcissistic and orders a hitman to kill Snow White in the woods- he can't bring himself to do it, so the witch poisons her herself with a laced apple. Snow White dies and the dwarves place her in a glass coffin so they can see her even in death; and then a prince stumbles across her body and falls in love with the corpse.. Yada yada yada, the apple is dislodged from her throat and she awakens! Weird.
    And don't even get me started on Hansel and Gretel...

    If the deaf can read lips, I guess it would be in whatever language they were surrounded by? What a fascinating question from your DD!

    My favourite part was when you told us the plot of a 78 year old movie. Hey mods, we need a spoiler alert :-p
