If you are really interested, google 'evolution and origin of language'. It could be a long read, though! The short answer is because of lack of direct evidence, no one quite knows for sure where common nouns like you have used in your examples come from

As for assuming all drivers are idiots, I agree! I now have to pay out over $600 because a woman stopped in front of me and I drove up her bum. It was a tiny paint transfer and minimal dent- did more damage to my car than hers. She has put in a claim for it though. Which will make her premium go up, right. We are declining to use our insurance, because the excess is $500 anyway. Not much of a difference.

So here is my random thought: why do we bother insuring absolutely everything (and people must, insurance is a huge ad market throughout the day) if we don't use it most of the time? If you do use it, your premium will raise. If you don't use it, you will have to pay. I mean, you have to pay either way. As well as your monthly fees. Talk about a rip-off industry. And apologies to anyone who works in insurance.. two of my besties do, and they agree that a lot of things are over-insured....

My random thought for today stems from an old bubhub thread on showering and the use of a flannel/cloth.

A few people once said they wash with a cloth starting with their face and ending with their less hygienic areas to avoid getting possible poo particles on their face. So after much thought I began to wonder. Do they use the same cloth for a couple days or a new cloth each time? if they use the same cloth are they not essentially washing their face directly after washing their underwear regions?

I would imagine a new cloth daily?
On the topic of washing, and something I've notice is really common of late, why do so many people not use soap after going to the toilet? A quick splash of water on the hands seems to be deemed adequate by many.

I don't use a cloth, just hands and sometimes a loofah but never for the nether regions

No, I don't think so. At uni I've noticed it a lot. In the last week I've been to the toilet at the same time as classmates twice and both only rinsed with water. I felt compelled to ask why but figure it might be taken rudely. Just have to keep in mind not to share any food out of the same packet. Lol

@HarvestMoon I have the same thought often! Or people not even washing... eeek! I've had some people tell me they use hand sanitizer, but you know what. If I'm in a shopping centre and see someone from say KFC in the toilet rinse with water or not at all - I don't care if they use hand sanitizer the moment they walk out of the toilet, I will not be eating food from wherever they work.

It just seems so gross! I mean if soap is already there, why not use it?

My random thought... Why is the time going so quick now?
I'm not that busy but it seems the time is going a lot more quickly now. It baffles me that it's Friday tomorrow already!

Why do doctors not like us using google yet the 4 doctors, including 3 specialists, we have seen this month have all used it, right in front of us.
