Default when 2 yr old behaviour drives you insane!

Ok we all know what it’s like.... mummy I got a nana, Mummy. I. Got. A. Nana!.... MUMMY I GOT A NANA!!!!!! It’s 9am and already it’s doing my head in J No matter how I respond, it wasn’t what she wanted to hear. What sort of things do you do when typical 2yr old behaviour is causing insanity to set in?

If I don’t laugh today... I just might cry!!

It's Disney Junior for us, or Home Alone.. I have no idea why she loves that movie so much. Shhh, we also give money to DS to do his homework, although he's at least saving towards his spending money for our holiday.

I got nothing, just a big nod in agreement! My spectacular moment after dd throwing the clean washing out of the basket for the third time was if you can't beat them, join them, so I said fine, that's a great idea!!! And I started throwing the washing onto the clothes horse, enjoying every item I threw...... Mumma went a lil cray cray . haha she didn't go back it... Plus she started straightening the washing out! Mum of year here too.... Currently watching videos of herself on my phone......

Argghh, the "helping". There is nothing worse than trying to do something and they undo it, its triple the amount of effort to re-do it all over again.

I try to let her help, I really, really do but sometimes, its just flat out upsetting.

I almost lost it last night. Trying to put pajamas on dd after the bath, she kept running off and dancing in front of the mirror in the nude. Really cute and hilarious but was just driving me NUTS!!! Just get bloody dressed and go to bed so I can do the dishes, make lunches and have my own shower!!!!

Especially when it comes to going to the toilet and undressing for the bath. DD can 'do it my-phelf'. Takes forever, and she ends up getting frustrated and whinging because she can't get her arms out of her shirt. Drives me bonkers

It could be worse, DS is sick at the moment. He squirms and flexes and screams so much when I'm trying to give him panadol, I feel like smacking him! You would think I was torturing him. I have to remind myself that he's sick, not just trying to send me insane. He's only just 2, so doesn't understand that medicine will make him feel better.

    Hugs OP.

I guess the biggest thing at the moment is the not listening thing.

Me: DD, put your shoes on

    DD: where's nana

Me: at the frog house. Put your shoes on

    DD: where's poppa.

Me: at the frog house. Put your shoes on.

    DD: what's that noise.

    Me: PUT YOUR SHOES ON!!!!!!

I then have to tackle her to the ground and put her shoes on.
