If I sat and did nothing but sleep, drink and eat I would also get 100ml max for the day. I still kept on giving what I could from BF first for six months followed by a bottle. I also lost no weight through BF like others do. I was told it was probably linked to my PCOS/hormones somehow but due to inconsistences in PCOSer's ability to BF there has not been much study into it. My mother had no problems and I'm hoping that DD won't have problems either. I never dreamt that I wouldn't be able to exclusively BF.

Do what you can and the best you can. If that is what you are doing do not beat yourself up - your baby is fed, happy and loved (It took me quite some time to reach this point!). I wasn't able to feed my others like I did our first as by then I was running around after toddlers and had so little milk it was ridiculous.

I came across some BFer's that couldn't comprehend that someone was not able to produce milk properly or even be helped to produce milk and would say some very unhelpful things. Hopefully you won't come across this.

Let us know how you get on. Have you been pumping post feeds?
I Could have almost written this post word for word! I had issues BFing DS, i was feeding both sides, pumping after feeds, drinking soooo much water, motillium, fenugreek, Lactation cookies.... and still only managed about 130mls combined from both sides a day. Maybe 150mls on a good day. I kept offering breast until he refused at around 4 months, in hindsight, it was a change in hormones as AF arrived shortly after....but kept pumping till 6 months. I hated that he had formula, and cried every bottle for ...weeks...and weeks... maybe months. But i eventually accepted that i was doing everything i could, and he was starting to thrive (It took a VERY long time to come to this conclusion though, as i also never considered i couldnt exclusively BF) ....a 4kg born baby weighing 3.3kgs on day 5, plus vomiting up mecronium... is not good! He used to scream all the time also. He would settle at the breast, take a few sucks and fall asleep. We were in a viscious cycle.... Lack of milk>Hungry baby>Lack of energy>Lack of sucking>Lack of stimulation>Even less milk>More hungry baby...etc etc etc.. So many people made comments that it should just happen and couldnt comprehend that it wasnt working for me either. They figured i must be doing "Something" wrong.

This bubba im going organised, going to have a bottle, formula, and breast pump from day one...so hopefully we can get things moving a little faster.

AFM - 16wks!! Im feeling bub at least daily now which is awesome! a few stronger kicks, but mostly rolling/stretching type movements. Im surprised im feeling it so early, yes, its #2 but i have an anterior placenta!

I hope you have a much more successful feeding program this time Shadow. I still feel bad that I'm not BF H but know by now that unless a miracle takes place that there won't be any milk - not unless my other three are happy to stay home, let mum sit on the couch all day drinking, eating and sleeping. They would also have to have no food in the house, a dirty house and no clean clothes to wear. All for 100mls!

Would be fantastic if you got an "Eleventh hour" BFP like we did. Hoping for the best Funchu.

Went to see my GP on the weekend to get my ultrasound and blood test results.

Hormones were normal! Ovaries are normal!

    No sign of PCOS 😁

She's not happy about my long cycles but other than that my pcos has disappeared!

Off to the gyno tomorrow to chat about clomid
