This thread has gotten me inspired to try and make some more art for the bathroom. I have found this online - I think you could make something similar by finding an old book in the op-shop (possibly even have to dye it with tea or something to make it look old), then get some black stickers from Spotlight and frame. I'm into French provincial style stuff, but you could superimpose any style sticker/ image onto the page.

We have a real mix of posters (in pics you can see two we got in Vietnam, and the three in the hallway are vintage American school posters depicting American history) bookplates/illustrations, pages of calendars, art by friends, art by local street artists, and 'real' art bought from galleries and art fairs. Like Atropos, we have soooo much in storage- we just don't have enough space! I have loads and loads of book illustrations in a folder that I would love to hang one day. When I am rich and have a library maybe!
We have mainly got photos that i've taken on our walls. I also have a wall of the kids art pictures, those ones i rotate around when they bring new ones home. DF got me a beautiful elephant oil painting for my 30th. I also love owls, and have a few garden ornaments on our walls.....
The kids and i did some canvas art together last mothers day....i got the idea for those from Pinterest....
Ok so... someone made a comment about having stuff packed away... which reminded me I have a box of stuff packed away for the last 8 years including a painting my dad did before he died (how on earth could I have forgotten that), sketches I picked up in Barcelona, Vietnam, Cambodia, Tasmania, cards I have been sent over the years, embroidery I've done etc etc. Totally forgot about it
I've ordered a set of 20 frames from eBay and I went on etsy and found heaps of printables that I can download and print, so I'm gonna fill them with all sorts - as scrapbook paper, images, fabric, quotes, whatever I fancy, and then hang them all next to the kitchen table. I've had lots of inspiration for that from the pics posted here so thanks :
I'm also going to print a heap of quotes for the kids like "I love you to the moon and back" etc, and hang them in a line up the hallway.
Still have a lot of space to fill but it's a start
Feel free to keep posting your pics, I love the inspiration but it's also nice to get a peek into hubbers houses heh heh
Just thought I would update (and have a little brag too ha ha). I went searching on pinterest and found three designs I liked, so I added in an abstract tree to make a fourth. I sketched them out, mixed my colours and did the four at the same time so they all match. I'm quite pleased with how they came out, I can't remember the last time I painted something! 1400998075823.jpg
Eta sorry I can't rotate the picture
