When I look back; 21 was a pretty big year for me! Finished uni, partied and definitely enjoyed all the 21sts :-) Then headed off for a (planned) year of backpacking in Europe, where I had great fun but also grew up a lot. Met my now DH over there and ended up staying much longer than originally intended.
Someone posted earlier about insecurities at that age; definitely agree but also think that was the first year I started to accept me as myself too.

I was paying a mortgage, spent 3 months on crutches after a netball injury, I got married to my amazing DH (one of the best decisions of my life), sadly my dad passed away & I miscarried our first baby.

It was a year full of extreme highs & lows.

On my first o/s trip with my first serious boyfriend, fighting and $&@"ing our way around Europe.

Working my first "grown up" job since leaving uni.

Living in a big shared house in inner Melbourne which was pretty full on at times but loads of fun.

Estranged from my parents at the time which I'm still sad about although we've made amends and are on much better terms now.

Generally making lots of mistakes and doing things I hope my own DD never does, but I think it's made me the resilient and relatively street-smart person I am today so for that I'm grateful. :-)
