Quick post while I'm waiting to hear DP made it home ok.
Baby Boy born 18th May at 11.51am. A chubby 3.91kg and 51cm long.
12 hr labour that felt a million hours longer!!!!
Baby nameless while dad and I try to get some sleep after being awake for nearly 40 hrs. Despite this, some dum bish of a midwife woke us both up after 2hrs sleep to tell me the baby needed feeding when he was also fast asleep and not interested in feeding. So now on our first night I've sent dp home to get some rest instead of being here with me!!!

Congrats nirok!! Your baby boy is here! Bummer about the midwife waking you guys up to feed, I hated when they did that. All the hours awake add to the exhaustion of labour don't they. Well done for trying to rest while you can.

Annerley- yay for maternity leave! I felt the same in our antenatal classes too. Love this thread and BH!

Kitty- wow you are amazing! Congrats a baby Samuel. Such a sweetheart!

Jb- congrats on your sweet baby girls. You did an amazing job keeping them in for as long as you did. They look gorgeous. How are they going today? Are they on cpap? It must be so hard not having them home yet but they are in the best place possible and will be home with you soon. So happy for you xx

Simpson- congrats on your beautiful baby girl! X

Lotsa- Abigail looks gorgeous in her christening outfit.

Nirok- yay! Your bubba has arrived! Congrats what a good size! Rest and recuperate and looking forward to hearing the name.

Berra- your baby shower looks awesome. What a lovely friend you have. I had mine yesterday and was completely overwhelmed with everyone's support.

Here are some pics. My SIL hosted it and did amazingly with the help of my MIL, mum and good friend. It was such an emotional day with the journey we have been through to get to this stage I had up pinch myself a few times to check if it was real. I also cried like a baby when trying thank everyone which resulted in a room full of women in tears hehe
