Orchid, thank you for sharing your story and being so honest. I'm so glad your baby boy made it in the world safe but sorry it was a tough labour and a tough first month. I'm glad you are seeking help. I find it helpful to talk through your feelings. You are doing a great job no matter what!

I have to commend each and every one of you mummas that are persevering with breastfeeding. They do say it is a learnt skill for both mum and baby and sounds like it is very true. I'm feeling a bit apprehensive about it from hearing your stories but will just take it as it comes. Keep up the great work! I love hearing how you are all doing with your new babies.

I'm 35+3 weeks and tomorrow I'll be 3 weeks away from my csection! DH went and got the car seat installed yesterday and I cried when I saw it because it's feeling so real now.
Growth scan on Tuesday shows baby is approx 2.9 kilos so a little above average which now explain why I've put on so much weight in the last few weeks. Countdown is on!

Thanks Arlias for sharing your thoughts about bubba no 2. How exciting that you are going to try again. The financial impacts are a big factor in our decision if we try again. Also being a mum is so full on not sure I could do it again.

So glad you mentioned lack of sex drive Amps- I thought I was the only one. My poor DH has been so patient. Also logistically with bubs getting a moment when he isn't crying at the moment would be a miracle!

3 days to go, and no sign of anything happening naturally yet.

Not sure whether we might have a second go round and try for a sibling. Will see how we cope with one first. Finances, for us, is also a factor in deciding whether we try again. I'll be 40 in September though, so we can't wait too long to decide.

    Ooooo Cat, exciting!!!!

As for dtd, I'm still bleeding so it's still off the cards but I'm hanging out. I generally have a very low sex drive but I think that had more to do with depression. Now I have my bub I've fallen in love with dh all over again and I want to jump him

Orchids I too am sorry you had such a challenging birth and first month. You are being so strong by dealing with it and talking about it with someone. I hope you can find a place of comfort soon and know that you're never alone.
    xxx

Ngaiz, seeing DH as a father has made him so attractive to me also. I just love that he suits this new role.

Gosh motherhood is such a crazy ride isn't it??

    Argh! Good luck Ann!
It's such a mission going anywhere with a newborn, must be doubly hard when you're in so much pain.
