    they have also scrapped the school kids bonus, and are reducing the other bonuses (ftb a + b) so its certainly going to be less than $750 per child net benefit in bonuses - and that is without considering losing the ftb b payment.

    I just don't get it.
    I work hard and I just don't get why they have done this.
    I have felt so proud of what I have managed to do on my own.. And now I don't think I can sustain it.
    I don't want to put my kids in after school care and never see them.
    My ex wins on this one.. He can go out and get more work tailored to when he has the kids. He has an MBA.
    I get $18 an hour...

    Luckily for us it won't affect us much. Maybe a little extra fuel but dh catches the train and I only drive 50km per day to work and back.
    We currently don't receive any FTB.

    Either we will have to significantly tighten our belts, or try and compete in childcare and jobs along with other mothers who will be being forced to re-enter the workforce.
