Can you also broaden the scope too so that the kids who actually need help in school get it, even if they don't have am ASD diagnosis. Watching my bestie's son struggle year after year and the school not helping enough because they don't have an autism diagnosis and watching my poor bestie go to hell and back trying to help him breaks my heart.

An autism diagnosis doesn't actually get you any help or support at school these days either. The education department/government is failing many children.

    That it is!

There are a few children with ASD at my sons school that are getting help, but this poor kid is struggling, at a grade 1 level in grade 3 because he doesnt have a diagnosis so doesnt get the additional helo the others do.

I am so nervous about my DS2 going to school.

@peanutmonkey My DS had an ASD diagnosis and he isn't entitled to an aide or any support. You need a multi-diagnosis to be eligible for anything now.
My DS continues to fall further and further behind at school. He has been written off as a bad child and is too difficult for the school to deal with.
I imagine this scenario would be rather common.

The nsw lib government cut aide funding drastically when they won office.

That make me so ashamed to be a Australian.

How dare they infer that people on a disability pension ate slackers.

Ok, so I wonder if an airline will have bulk buy discounts on one way flights to Scandinavian countries. I'm thinking if getting my family a ticket..... Anyone else want to join me!?......

I always said I love living in Australia (and most of all Adelaide) but in a few years time, I'm not sure that will be the case - knowing our somehow religious PM still think its appropriate to treat people this way. Given his beliefs - he is going straight to HELL!!!!
