So from this budget, my mum is losing her job, plus the community health area funding may be cut meaning no free support services for counselling etc plus job loses there too... For a rural area, this is not great news. The gaping hole this gov. is leaving people to fall into is getting wider.
Why are the considering raising the age of access to super? That doesn't seem to have anything to do with the budget does it?
Sorry of someone has already asked it, couldn't find it on the thread.
It would keep people working for longer and less money spend on pension.
But that is OUR money. IMO they don't have any right to touch that or dictate when it's accessed. What about people who are labourers, welders etc who constantly lift heavy items as part if their job? Surely a 70 year old can't be expected to do that?
Super companies will be able to invest it for longer and make more money off it too, so taking that into consideration Abbott must have buddies working in the super industry. He has already helped out Gina and Murdoch, now he is probably getting to everyone else.

Seriously disgusted at the overall disparity between the load shouldered by the poor and the wealthy. I truly hope that cuts to pensioner concessions, FTB B for single income families, the GP co-payment, changes to Newstart are all blocked in the senate - I think the political strain caused by a dissolution/re election would be better than the social damage caused by this heartless budget.
