Kinda funny, in a horribly sad way.

The way I look at it is... People who want to screw the system... Will always find a way.

This won't hurt them, it will just hurt already struggling families and students.

No Newstart for 6 months?!?!? So you lose your job and....live on what exactly?!?!?! This astounds me

And let's not even go there with uni fee deregulation. For those that think it is a good budget, no one can agree that uni fee deregulation is a good idea, uni will end up costing 50k a year like it does in the USA.

It will stop my sister rorting the system so I like that part.

But do we really want a sicker population who are less educated?

You're at the bottom at the moment. Honestly don't let the bitterness you're feeling right now lead you into a cyber fight on an issue that doesn't matter as much to you.

Take it easy on yourself. I have had some awful times with ivf and would be be happy to pm you about what I went through. You're definitely not alone.
Thank you hun, my comments were not really related to my IVF but it always gets dragged in. Might be time to change the siggy as we have had many more failed cycles and potentially won't be having any dole bludging (after 6 months) kids nor will I be getting any benefits. It is what it is hey

I really know nothing about our universities and found it interesting how the treasurer was saying they are not world class or have a good reputation worldwide? Is that true? And if so what's wrong with them?

No...that is bull****. Me and DH earn just over $100,000 and can barely get by each week. Why? Because 4 years ago when we scraped a deposit for our house after living with my in laws, we were doing OK budget wise. Fast forward 4 years and every.single.payment. we have has gone up but our wages have stayed the same. We are slowly sinking and we don't do anything. No extras, no eating out, no vacations and no savings. If we lost our FTB it would truly **** us. Even though we don't get a lot, every cent is accounted for. With Australia's ridiculous cost of living and inflated prices on anything, $100,000 is not a lot of money. I truly feel for people who are worse off than us but we still need it.
