Default Advice on boosting immunity for daycare...

DD (2.5yrs) is AGAIN sick with a virus...I"M SO OVER THIS!!!! its the 3rd time shes picked up a bug....poor thing has been sick on and off for 5 weeks now (all viruses-cold etc)..but than I have to take times off for which i'm not paid ...plus poor DD is miserable..

I guess I'm looking for suggestions as to whether other parents used vitamins/herbs..ANYTHING that helped their LOs tackle these germs abit better

Oh gosh, same here. SO frustrating!!

I've just put DD (also 2.5) on to probiotics plus a multi vit daily, can't hurt right?

I've always had DS on a pro biotic and fish oil ( omegas and vitamin D) so I would recommend those

Once I started dressing DD in a singlet and skivvy (and jumper and jacket) every day I found she got sick less often. Keep their necks warm. Trust me!

I find vitamins do help, along with a wholesome diet of course.

I second the skivy, jumper thing. Keep her warm. Put a singlet on under her top and make sure she wears socks all day. Tr and get her to wear a jumper too.

I like to let my bubs/kids play outside in the rain and mud. Just make sure they are warm...rain coat with hat and gum boots and keep and eye on them if it is particualy cold.

Get her out in the dirt and rain and jump in puddles, get wet and eat dirt...best way to build their immunities!!!

I use pentavite and just pop it in Ds's bottles each day. I also second keeping them warm.

I also am a few months into daycare. I have heard after the first year the do naturally build up immunities... I know that doesn't help you right now....
