    Default Early Labour Signs

    Hi Ladies
I know this has been asked a million times but I'm going to ask again. I am wondering if I am in very early labour, here are my signs and symptoms...
I am 37 weeks preg, first bub, and had a scan last week which showed bubs head down and low, Ob did not do an internal examination. On scan my cervix was almost 3cm so still long but it has shortened slightly sincemy last scan.
Today I have woken up with fairly constant but very dull period like pain low in the abdo and back. Certainly not a pain that I would take pain relief for but I do notice it.
I have been having increasing very strong BH over the past few days, they give me chest pain when I get them and an intense urge to pee which passes as soon as the BH does. They are more frequent of an evening. They are not regular and last approx 20 secs to a min.
I have slight nausea and feel as though I may get diarrhea but nothing happens.
I saw my mum yesterday who thinks I have dropped in the belly.
I have not had a show or feel like my waters have broken.
    Bub is still moving about.

    What do you ladies think?

I think it's probably a bit of pre-labour. Unfortunately it could go on for weeks, hopefully it won't be too bad for you!

The day before I went into labour with DD I had some diarrhea and my 'plug' started coming away (glamorous, isn't it!). So keep an eye on things and try to rest up if it makes you more comfortable.

the day i went into labour with my daughter i started feeling like diarrhoeia from about 3.30 am, was going to the toilet every half hour or so and nothing was happening. I was also losing the mucus plug in small amounts all morning but my waters didn't break. by the time i got to the hospital at 8am i was having proper contractions.

Sounds like mild pre labour to me. As pp said it could go on for weeks. Those last few weeks I often felt dull aches and nausea etc that would come and go. Doesn't mean it won't turn into something, but likewise it could also mean not a whole lot. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long though!

Thanks ladies. Sounds like I shouldn't get too excited then. I will try to get plenty of rest in the meantime.

    Hi Cue
Thanks for asking about me. Still plodding along. This morning I had a big vomit and some tummy cramping but then nothing. Just waiting but not very patiently lol
