Default Gift ideas for 1yo girl on a budget

We are on a strict budget so can't afford to spend more than $10-15. I need to buy a birthday present for a 1yo & have no idea what to get.

I'm not sure what she has or what she needs which makes it hard.

I'd rather not get a gift voucher as I don't like people seeing exactly how much I spent.

Any ideas for a nice gift but something affordable?

Clothes are always handy - maybe some size 2 summer clothes that might be currently discounted?

A bubble machine? I've seen them for about $15.
For my best friends 1 yr old I made up a beautiful frame for her. Just a plain white frame then used my scrap booking supplies to put her name and decorated it in the same colours as her bedroom. Looked lovely and my friend really appreciated the time and effort I put in to it. Would have cost only $5ish too.

I normally buy books and clothes for that age group. You can get some good books cheaply at Big W, and Target/Big W have some decent clothes. Or even go to your local factory outlet place - Trade Secret, DFO, Harbourtown etc

The bubble machine is an awesome idea. They have them in kmart. My 18 month old loves bubbles.
Also you can get in kmart or target etc play mobile phones. My dd got one for her first birthday. She loves it.

You can buy puzzles from Kmart for $3 each, while the Fisher Price Chatter Phone is $12- it does a have a string to pull/walk as well. My daughter who is nearly 2 loves the phone, we play pretend doctor's office with it.

I third a bubble machine. If you go to the reject shop you can get some amazing ones very cheap. And a big bottle of bubbles.

One year olds don't need much. I have a little baby turning one in a few months and she would get so much entertainment out it.

$10-$15 is plenty for a nice little prezzie for a 1 yr old.

I agree with the bubble things. Even just a set of blowers and a bottle of bubbles is about $10

Otherwise, a cheap tea set (King Kong/$2 shop usually sell those kinds of things which are great)

I think size 2 clothing and a book is a great present.
Could also look at play dough or paints for sensory play
