We have been trying since March when I stopped the pill. So 5 months
I'm new here. I'm 29 and in my third month of TTC.
I've been using a Cbfm for the past two months and also have a regular 27 day cycle.
Also I tried conceive plus last cycle but no luck.
Does anyone have any advice?
I'm a bit the same, we went of the pill in May and now we're just 'trying'. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much each month (though it's hard not to symptom spot!!)
I've heard that it takes 6 months on average, so maybe just try to keep that in mind?
Hopefully it doesn't take you much longer! Keep me posted, it's good to keep in touch with others in a similar position.
In the meantime, from all I've read/heard if you're not already, just make sure you're regularly BDing (every 2nd to 3rd day), maybe limit caffeine, and have a look at the diet and activity levels of both you and your partner
Yes that two week wait is horrible! I kept analysing every symptom!
Decreasing coffee is a good idea actually. I have two coffees a day but I'm going to wean myself down to one. I will start tomorrow.
Keep me updated on your progress too.
I honestly never thought trying to have a baby would take so long.
I only have a few days left of my tww! It's only my second tww despite trying for 16 months for my DD and not preventing since I had her (she's 11 months).
Hi @twentysomething, we have been trying for a year... 4 early miscarriages, needless to say it's been a bit rough. I am booked in with a Fertility Specialist this week so fingers crossed!!
For anyone unsure of their cycle the clear blue digital ovulation tests are great! However they are expensive!
I ended up not ovulating. Still ttc.
Its been just short of a year. I have done the 21 day blood test and that indicated i am ovulating. My periods have been weird though, lots of spotting and longer than normal. No cause has been identified for this and its frustrating because prior to trying i have always been so regular. I am giving it two months and then will request a referral to a fertility specialist. Fingers crossed that i get some luck before that
