Beautiful, out of curiosity did u gain any weight after having the mirena in? In the beginning I thought it was great but ended up having so many side effects. Has anyone else experienced side effects?

Hi all *waves* We're in our first cycle of TTC - I'm nearly 28 and DP is 29.

I've been off the pill for ages and have fairly regular cycles - I range from 27 to 30 days. Took a positive Ovulation test this morning though, smack bang on CD14. So hopefully it's accurate because we've BD twice this past weekend

Bubsaway I did gain weight in fact quite a bit but I'm not sure if that was the mirena or just lack of looking after myself. I didn't have any side effects other than coming off....where as now I have nausea. What were your thoughts on the mirena?

I gained about 9kg in 7months and that was with exercising and watching what I ate as well. It didn't seem to make any difference what I did it just steadily kept creeping on. I spoke to my dr and he didn't believe me so it's nice to know I'm not the only one. Now that it's out I haven't gained anymore but haven't lost any either.

About twelve months ago. I put on a bit before I had it put in but seemed to put a lot on in the past 12 months. Didn't even think that it could have been the mirena
