    Default Nervous as hell!!

Hi everyone. I'm due in a little over 4 weeks for baby number 2..... ANd I am SUPER SUPER nervous/scared of labour again! I wasn't this concerned with my daughter as I didn't really know what to expect. But I didn't have the greatest labour with her and now that has really made my very scared about the labour that is getting closer! Has anybody else had this happen where ur that nervous that it can keep u up at nights thinking about it? And if so how did U deal with it?

I didn't feel nervous so can't give advice there, but I wanted to say that Know many people who had a tough 1st labour and a good 2nd labour. Your body knows what to to second time around!

Hugs OP - I was much, much more nervous about labour the second time around - for the same reason as you - I didn't know what to expect the first time! My first birth was very straight forward, but that didn't stop me worrying about all the 'what-ifs' and things that could go wrong when preg with DS2. My middy gave me some great birthing books to read and I read lots of positive birth stories, which helped put me in a much better frame of mind. She assured me to trust my body and second time round was much quicker and easier. My advice to help ease the worry would be to treat each birth individually and educate yourself. I'm a bit of a pessimist, so prepared myself for 'worst-case' scenario as well, but found educating myself more helped ease my fears a bit. Good luck!
