I like Kira, love her healthy take on dishes. Hope she goes well, but just out of curiosity I googled risotto definition and it says a rice dish, mmmm I know the quinoa can taste similar but is it still a risotto?

Lots of cafés do risotto using other grains. Even Heston Blumenthal does risottos with spelt or barley. All well and good but quinoa is not a starchy grain. I just don't know how she'll get that gorgeous creamy texture that makes a good risotto such a delight to eat.

I really think she's a great cook and can make it taste amazing but I guess it depends on how the others do and how much tradition comes into choosing the best/worst dish.

It looked like puke on a plate.
I appreciate that they say it tasted great but I'm still not convinced it was a risotto. I don't think it should have been dish of the day.

I think the quinoa risotto would have been good an invention test. But not for a night of classic cooking of risotto.

But. .. I like tash.. but I don't think she's as good as some other cooks. So it was probably her time to go.
    I still don't really like E.

The quinoa risotto did look like vomit. Lira could have used the same ingredients and done it with arborio rice but, hey, they were happy. She got to stay. I like her style of cooking.

I'm sorry to see Tash go. They're gradually getting rid of Emilia's dessert competitors. Can't we just get rid of her instead?!

More stunned that Kira is apparently 31...

Not convinced that it's technically risotto...
