I think Nick (I think he is "I love my Nan"?) really needs to pull out a non-dessert tonight. If his desserts were amazing that would be one thing, but he even mucked up his lemon curd pie in the Qualifying Round.

I'm a big fan of desserts but I think he needs to branch out a bit and try some savouries. If he just wanted sweets he should have gone on Australia's Great Bake-off or whatever that show was.

Or perhaps gotten a apprenticeship as a pastry chef??

I love cooking shows & reality cooking shows but 1 thing that regally annoys me about the contestants on these shows is that they are all very passionate about 'food' but in their real life they have done little to achieve it... It's not like the entertainment industry to break into, they have apprenticeships, traineeships & training courses you can do... Sometimes I think they use it for fame more than anything else... I understand it's hard to break from an established career sometimes, but surely it's a lesser risk giving up everything to go onto a reality TV show?? Now I'm rambling!!

I just finished watching last night's episode too, as I had a meeting last night. Yes thank God she's gone. Whoever said she was painful to watch was spot on! She just whinged and faffed about. I thought Ocker Former Carpenter did really well, especially since he seemed to be struggling initially. That dish looked very tasty though...I love a good hunk of meat.
Team challenge tonight which I am not generally a fan of. But we'll see hey.
