Hi girls, how's everyone travelling today? I've been feeling a bit weepy & vulnerable today. Only 4 follies compared to over 30 on our last cycle. I'm up to day 10 of stimming on 450 puregon. As we use dodgy testicular sperm it feels like a real risk to go to ER with the possibility of only (at the most) 4 eggs. And that's best case scenario. The FN said every cycle can be different & the next cycle may be different. Problem is that we've gone into debt just for this cycle & I'm afraid we don't have a spare 15k to throw at another cycle. Don't mean to be a downer, just having one of those sucky, hormone fuelled sadsack day. Thanks for listening xx

Ertgirl, I'm sorry you are in this situation and can understand your hesitation. Are you completely out if pocket if you cancel? I thought you lost the money for the medication if you cancelled. Still even if I knew I would be out of pocket $1000, it is still a lot if money. I would probably speak to my specialist and see if he thought changing mess would make any difference. If he said he didn't know, I guess I would go ahead.

A new one for me just did my first 3 for this cycle in the disable loos at the airport. On our way to see Dr Wazza to see if he thinks he can do anything or DE is our only option.

But hope we don't have to anyways. We have waited a long time for this appt. and a long weekend is never a problem.

Sharlee hope you are feeling better soon rest up this weekend.

Hi bLossom hope all our dreams come true

Sorry to hear Etgirl that you have not many follicles, if I had four my FS would cancel me. I would be $480 out of pocket plus the other drugs I bought so would be around $1700. Can they up your meds I'm on huge doses as I'm old and done lots of stimms now on my 9 th WTF

Kayzb I loved my trip to the Carribean too those crystal blue water of St Thomas were amazing.

Have a great weekend everyone. Sorry for such terrible spelling and lack of proper personals on my phone and waiting for my flight.

June is going to be good

The interesting thing is that the nurses & US techs don't seem bothered that number of follicles. I'm nearly 41 & my AMH is only just over 4. I don't know; maybe 4 follies is the best I can hope for. I'm on 450 of puregon; as far as I know that's the highest dose. I think I had prepared myself that it may not work, but not because I didn't produce enough eggs. It just wasn't in my mind that I'd have such a poor response to such huge doses.

@ertgirl. I'm 40 next month. I normally get 4 to 6 eggs out of a transfer and I'm on 400 gonal f. What's ur % rate like for fertilisation? I'd be happy with those numbers. I've never had more than 8 and this will be my 8th or 9th stimm

@Precious40 thanks for that; it's good to have someone else's point of view. We had a pretty poor fert rate last time, out of 12 eggs, 5 fert & 3 made it to day 3. I think because we're working with testicular sperm, we don't have a great fert rate; I think this is making me more nervous than if we were working with awesome sperm. It seems we've gone from our only issue being DH's zero sperm count to me having major problems also. I think you're amazing having done 9 stims. I really hope you get your bfp soon.

I really wasn't prepared for the grief & anxiety I'd feel this time round. I thought that seeing as I had DS everything would be easier or that it wouldn't hurt as much.

I admire all you who have done multiple cycles. My heart goes out to you all xx
