And of course our BFP @stephiew (yes, we are all soooo envious )

Is this a much busier month than normal ? @Sharlee32 I completely understand the broke part. This stuff is financially devastating. I have to admit the financial strain of this has brought me to tears more often than the actual IVF failures.

How old do you guys think is too old to become parents? I'm prepared to fight this fight maybe up until I am say 44, but wouldn't want to be giving birth after 45, I don't think. That just seems too much. Plus by then DP will be 47. We are both fit and healthy, just getting old . Any opinions or thoughts on how old you would be prepared to go?

Stupid me pee'd on a stick at 5dp5dt this morning & BFN. I know it's stupidly early but can't help but feel out already.
Me too this morning. 8dp3dt and BFN but I don't expect a BFP until Sunday when I'll be 11dp3dt, going by my last BFP. I'm pretty blase about it as I know its too early, but just in case by some miracle there is an early surprise..... I must POAS. Can't help myself

Hey everyone I have a question which is probably silly but what do use do in the 2 week wait I have my transfer this morning and I feel like I will want to wrap myself in cotton wool and lay flat with my legs up and barely too scared to take a deep breath or sit down lol that's crazy I know it will either work or it won't but do any if you believe resting is a good thing ? I saw on a few USA YouTube videos they have strict bed rest after transfer for 3 days!? Or do some of you walk out jump in your car and go about your usual routine work etc ? Your opinions would really be appreciated thankyou :-)

@rachie5 I normally try and rest as much as possible on day of transfer. I lie down when I get home for a couple of hours and dh is in charge of dinner. Then I take it easy for the 2 weeks. I don't go to the gym or do any vigorous exercise but I do just get on with day to day things. Kind of had to this time around - my 15mo doesn't stop! I have snuck some naps in when he's been asleep though. Just be sure to drink LOTS of water. Good luck with your tww!

I normally just get up and about as normal, but I don't do anything strenuous for the next few days. I remember seeing a study somewhere saying that it made absolutely zero difference to success rates.
The thing that always freaks me out after a transfer though is the little bit of fluid that leaks out. That's just the fluid they wash your cervix with so expect it and don't freak out lol. The scientist at my clinic compares the embie to a strawberry seed in a jam sandwich. I always had the mental image (from anatomical diagrams I suppose) that the uterus is a big open cavity, but of course its not. Both sides are squashed in on each other so there really is no cavity there and so the strawberry seed really is pressed between the two slices of bread so to speak, and its going nowhere. Having said that, its a great excuse to loll about doing nothing and getting waited on hand and foot.
The suspense must be killing you , not long to go now though
