    Default So frustrating!!!!

So if you've been following my last few posts, you'll know that after a year of absence, DDs father has decided he's ready to start being a dad again.
He started off with a two hour initial visit, then two more visits around 3-4 hours. Today we were going to head to the beach for almost a whole day.
Last night, I texted to say dd had a late night so she'd probably sleep in and I'd text him in the morning.
This morning, I texted at 9am to ask what time he wanted to meet. No reply. I finally called at 11am to see what was going on. He was asleep!!!! Apparently he went out clubbing last night and got in at 5am this morning!!!!
So instead of spending a whole day with dd, he might be able to spend 2-3hours. This is AFTER he nagged at me to see her several times while he's in Brisbane.
I just can't believe how pathetic he is. And I feel like an idiot for believing he was going to turn a new leaf

I feel your pain. Hopefully he isn't in town for much longer...

I think it's pretty admirable for you to give him the benefit of the doubt knowing he's a douche. He's the idiot- you just happen to be a great and decent mama. I hope he has a hangover all day!

Thanks ladies. I was very tempted to tell him to f**k off and he'd missed his chance. But it's dd that would miss out, so I swallowed my pride and met up with him anyway. I'm glad I did, dd seemed to have a really good time.

You are so awesome for trying to encourage it and believe the best in him...
