    Default my IVF North Lakes

Hi everyone I'm new to this site and am really looking for people to talk to that is going through the same situation.. What a journey we have had BUT we are starting our very first IVF cycle in May and just wanted to ask a million LOL questions about the process, how did you keep work unaware, how you found the treatment or first appts etc we meet again with specialist on May 13 for "final run through" then we start.
I'm scared! I'm excited! I'm a little of everything but most of all... Did anyone fall pregnant and carry first IVF cycle?
i have a unicornate uterus with a horn and only 1 tube (but 2 overies) but my 1 tube is blocked etc etc I'm scared about going through everything for a negative result but I also know that 40-45% success rate isn't the very best
would love to hear from others, just have people to talk to that actually UNDERSTAND

Hi Erin come and join us over in the May 2014 - IVF/ISCI thread I'm just about to start again, have heard many who r 1st time lucky

All of your feelings r very normal it really is a roller coaster

I haven't told work, I work flexi hours so I can start later the days I need to go in for BT/scan I know my clinic opens for 7am so u can have it done 1st thing

As for how I've felt, with the meds I didn't feel too bad, felt slight bloating/heaviness but not unbearable, I also had a few headaches here and there I think from the synarel

jabs didn't bother me really u get used to them, once u have done the 1st it feels better

EPU I found I was quite sore 1st round for about a week but my 2nd I felt much better after a day or so

The hard part can be the emotional side of it - waiting to see how many eggs u get/how many fertilise and how many keep growing, then there's the tww.

Gl on your journey hope 1st times the charm for u everyone's different with how they react/respond feel but hopefully u will have a smooth run
