Default South east brisbane (wynnum west area) primary schools

Hi just trying to get an idea of the primary schools around us, as our son starts prep next year. Everyone says go by word of mouth but we don't know anyone with children at schools near us, so hoping some one on here will have some advice/experience.

Our catchment school is wynnum west primary, but I don't have a good feeling about it, so we have been looking Tingalpa state school and Belmont state school. We've had interviews with some of the near by private schools but if we can find a good public school that would be our preference.

    thanks for any info.

    Hi cakeymumma,

thanks for the fast response, why avoid moreton bay boys? It was actually on our list, but keen to avoid the massive fees for primary but we were still considered it for high school. Any advice on other schools in the area?

    thanks again

I went to wondall heights ss and back then it was a great school. It's grown huge since I've been there!
Wynnum west has a good reputation with special ed kids as a friend of mine was looking into that school if she moved over this way for her autistic son and it came highly recommend from specialists. (avoid Wynnum north....anything! lol)

Wynnum north is closed down . It's all fenced off and over grown .
