Default How to deal with biting?

My daughter has had 4 incidents now where she has bitten children at day care. She is nearly 1, I know that she is not doing it with malice, the child care has assured me that it is age appropriate but I can't help but feel concerned.

How do I deal with this and is this common?

Maybe she was the one who bit my DS lol

Sorry, I can't help as I'm having a similar problem. DS is also 1 but he has only bitten me so far. I just keep saying ouch that hurts and I'm hoping that sinks in eventually. I'm hoping it's just a phase as he's teething again (or is it still).

Apparently there have been so many instances at day care that it warranted a note in the latest newsletter.

I would also like to know more about this too. Our little one is starting to get a bit teethy on occasion and I have no idea how to stop him.

My 1 year old dd bites too. I've noticed that she only really does it when she's tired.

Perhaps that could be the case, as she doesn't seem to sleep very much at day care and tonight before bed she was biting me.
