I call BS on that! My DH farts in front of me and it's not disrespectful in the slightest- but in my home, farting is pretty hilarious!!

If you don't mind farting, then no it's not disrespectful, but if you're like me and hate stinky loud farts near you then yep I think it's disrespectful to purposely fart in front of a person who hates it.
Dp and I both hate it, though we still find it funny. He still picks on me for "letting a quacker slip" lol

Sometimes DH will direct a fart towards the TV if someone on TV annoys him.

Ed Sheeran was on TV last night at the Logies red carpet. He was explaining that his cat has it's own twitter account. Of course DH took exception to such nonsense and farted in Ed's face. I thanked him.

Agree 100%!!! DP goes outside to do it and like you, unless it's by accident, we never do it in front of each other. Yuck.
I never have to go outside to do it because mine don't seem to smell, I'm just not a gassy person either...not sure why :/ I'm weird.

Haha this is us too! Dh and I are known to try and out do each other..... its hilarious in our house. Its just a fart. Unless someone farts directly at someone or on someone on purpose. Thats gross. Ive farted on dh's head once (first time I ever farted in front him!), but it was completely by accident and I did warn him I needed to lol. He got me back.

We usually find farts pretty funny and DH gives me a high five if he hears me do one because mine are usually pretty quiet.
The only problem I have is that DH has no sense of smell - due to a head injury about 15 years ago - so I can't get him back if he stinks the house out!
When he was little, he and his sister used to record their fart sounds onto cassette tapes.

I constantly tell my DH he has to go to the doctor cause he stinks so badly, there must be something wrong! I just hope my DS takes after me & not DH in that department or I might need to make out!
