Smile When Do You Put Gifts Under Your Tree?

Hi There, With all this Christmas chat it has got me thinking about gifts. And when it's Ok to put them under the tree.

:tree: Do you wait until Christmas eve or put them under as you wrap them up?

I like to wait until I have mine all wrapped up, and just put the ones from Santa under the tree on Christmas eve. I do this cause I love to wrap gifts, so all they look really nice. So by doing this I get to look at them for longer

So what do you do in your house?

We put them all under on Christmas eve, although the kids know that prezzies are wrapped (all the family prezzies) but it gives the "illusion" of lots under the tree if they all go out at the same time.

Mmmmm I must admit it I'm a prezzie picker too! I just can't help myself

:tree: And leaving it until Christmas eve does give the illusion of heaps more prezzies under the tree.

Ours go under the tree as soon as they are wrapped however Avalon will be 14 months this year so not sure if that will happen. When the other 2 were this age I had to put them up on a table, which I no longer have but am thinking about putting the tree in the portable cot this year so it can't be destroyed.

When we were childless we'd put the pressies under the tree as soon as they were bought and wrapped.

This year we'll be bringing them out xmas eve night

I usually put it as soon as they are wrapped. I remember the year Jess was born. I had done my Christmas shopping on the Thurs (2nd December) before she was born and had left my presents to be wrapped next to the tv. I had Jess on the Mon (6 Dec)and didn't get released till the 18 Dec (due to Jess have low blood sugar levels and me high blood pressure).

I got home to find that my mother thinking she was being nice had cleaned the house and put all the presents away thinking that we hadn't unpacked the bags and had left the house in a mess and thought she would give me a hand a clean the house from top to bottom. I was so mad .

It took me nearly 5 days to find all the presents to be wrapped. My hubbie hadn't touched the bags as he knew I told him that they needed to be wrapped and put under the tree (he's a bit of neat freak too).

This year I have hidden all my presents at mum and dad's place and will collect them on X'mas Eve to put under the tree.
