Star - I would ring around to your local radiographers. I had to travel 120km each way, but I got mine bulk billed with HCC bc it's xray based (as opposed to a hycosy which is u/s based).

There are lots of things that can be found in a lap that aren't STD based. ovarian cysts which can block the tubes, endo thin/thick lining. And I should add - when I had my lap beginning of this year the gyno did another dye test while I was out. So is that a possibility that you can get in done in one go saving you the cost??

I'm getting it done through the hospital so it's not going to cost me anything and I'm getting a dye test done at the same time so it'll all be in one go, another thing I had to push for lol I know I have cysts on my ovaries we discovered that through ultrasounds when diagnosing me with pcos. My gyno is pretty crap really

Cinders.... Australia is actually the second worst in the world for low Vitamin D levels. They blame it on years of "slip, slop, slap" campaigns, where so many people like me used to wear sunhats to put the washing out etc, combined with the electronic age, where so many people stay indoors on computers etc.

I'm glad everyone has been tested for vit d. Does elivit have vit d in it? I'm not on prenatal vitamins atm, cause stuff paying $30 a month for 3 years, so im just taking folic acid. I was gonna pick up some vit d today but maybe I should get some prenatal vitamins instead.

Ella I take swisse pregnancy+ ultivite tablets, they contain vitamin D3, I also take swisse calcium + vitamin D tablets. I found Elevit didn't agree with me and neither did a couple other brands but swisse sits fine

I guess if you get a prenatal vitamin at least you are getting a bit of everything good, just make sure you've got one that has at least 500mcg of folic acid

    Good luck Shrillian!!

I had my fs appointment today - she had to explain everything again to me considering the circumstances last time i was there. Fs is convinced that i don't need a lap, but understands that i would like a clear head before going through iui/ivf. All my tests are clear... i don't know what to do!!! I haven't booked in for anything yet... will need to call them tomorrow to decide whether i do lap or give iui a try. I'm sure there are ladies in here that have been at a similar crossroad...

Also, AF arrived this arvo like clock work. May explain the indecisiveness...
