saw the FS today and he was rather helpful, he thinks I am hypervigilant and this is stopping me from oing from the hormone it creates, so he has put me on Naltrexone from cd1 to o with tracking to check when I o, then pregnyl on 2 and 4 dpo. can anyone tell me what pregnyl does? he really didn't tell me much about that.

I understand lillyloubelle, we're coming up to 4 years of this ttc & it's just awful.

I've also had a really crap day. My clinic told me when to take provera & that I should get af either today or tomorrow. Well I got it today & rang up & I got told 'sorry the scientist is away, we can't do your transfer, wait another 28 days'. I thought why the f tell me to take it if you knew she was going to be away?? Sucks big time.

Rocky.... I have never heard such a thing of not doing the transfer because the scientists is away. Are you telling me they only have one scientist?

Cinderella... pregnyl is used quite commonly in IVF cycles, as it does two things, 1) aids implantation but avoiding clots, 2) keeps AF at bay to give the embie a chance of implanting (which is particularly useful if you have a short luteral phase)

Lilylou.... sorry to hear that. I think that some of the symptoms of AF are easily confused with pregnancy (not that I've ever had a BFP). Good luck for next time.

Not 100% sure but I used a really high dose of pregnyl (10000iu) as trigger in my last ivf cycle and then I had 3 1500iu boosters after transfer. I think it's just like hcg (if you poas after taking it, it will come back positive). Not sure what the hcg is supposed to do though... Must be good to be trying something different!

Oh Rocky that sounds crazy! Can you call again and ask for clarification, surely they can't cancel everyone wanting to cycle in Sept?
